My first trip to Brazil was in (LOOK UP year) landed in São Paulo and then flew straight to

• San Salvador de Bahia: right upon landing and taking a taxi to Pelourinho (in the center) it was a bit of a scary experience. Looking outside the window I remember seeing groups of young people I would not have not wanted to encounter alone at night and guess what…it was night :) as we arrived in the Pelorinho some junkies surrounded us and started touching us asking for money, luckily they were not aggressive but still it wasn’t pleasant.
